I have been involved with the MVP for a number of years now and was very happy to become Chair earlier in 2020.

I have lived in Aylesbury my whole life and have 4 daughters, all born at Stoke Mandeville. I keep busy with my work as an antenatal teacher and doula which I love. Being part of an expectant family's life at such an exciting time and supporting new parents move into parenthood is always amazing and a privilege to be part of.

Being part of Bucks MVP is a great way to help the voices of parents be heard, and a way to pass on their feedback and experiences to help implement change and contine great support for future babies and parents locally.

An amazing team

The MVP includes a hardworking core of volunteers made up of parents, local birth workers, antenatal teachers, hypnobirthing practitioners and more. You are likely to come across them in local groups and out in the community collecting feedback.

We also have a wide representation of staff from across the NHS and related professions. In addition to the MVP chairs and volunteers at meetings we will also usually have in attendance the Head of Midwifery, Consultant Midwife, Antenatal and Postnatal ward representatives, GP's, Obstetric representative, Infant Feeding Team representative, Health Visiting representative, Bucks CCG Representative, Heathwatch representative, Bedfordshire University representative and many more.

Co-Chair & Treasurer

I am a local antenatal teacher and postnatal practitioner. I'm also a part time student (BSc Biology), a wife and mum to 3 gorgeous children who are 7 and 5 (twins!).

I've been working with Bucks MVP for the last 3 years and am passionate about birthing individuals having informed choice, the support they need and a positive birth experience, no matter the path their birth takes.
